Modd: Happy
I have a lot to say. lol My birthday, the drama of my birthday, my presents, the internet being shut off and I think that's it...
My internet was shut off most of last week because my brother-in-law didn't pay the bill. -.- That's what happens when you take too many work days off! The phone/internet is in his name because he rang the bill up when it was in my husband's name. Back then, he was helping us with the phone because we were paying $500 rent. So, he (my brother-in-law) put it in his name because of that. We got the internet and phone back last Saturday.
Last Wednesday was my 24th birthday. ^.^ I was sad that I couldn't talk to anyone on my birthday. :( The phone was off and so was my cell phone (still is). I didn't add minutes in time. Everyone was trying to get a hold of us. Anyway, we celebrated on Sunday. Joel took me to Arby's then we bought my presents at Walmart. We originally planned to go to Fujiyama (a Japanese restraunt), but we figured that since it's expensive, we wouldn't have money left over for presents. I had a great birthday either way. ^.^ He bought me Evanescence's new cd The Open Door and cute tan boots!!! ^.^ I love them both! XD
Ok, now about the drama. *sigh* My family wanted to have my birthday with me. Since my grandpa was here from Arkansas and wouldn't be here for Thanksgiving and also his birthday, his wife's birthday and my birthday were so close, they decided to have a birthday for all three of us and have Thanksgiving with him on Saturday. That was fine with me. I don't have to have a party because I'm happy with just being alive. I'm just like that. On Saturday, my mom decided to change it to Sunday at the same exact time that Joel and I planned our thing together. Instead of having it at her house like originally planned, they had it at a buffet. >> I told her about my plans and instead of working around it, she asked me to just ditch my dinner plans and have dinner with them. =O Talk about rude. She said they changed plans because Grandpa wanted to see a friend on Saturday. >> Why couldn't he have done that on Sunday!? And why not cook for Thanksgiving instead of going out? That's not Thanksgiving (I know for some people it is, but not for my family!)! There's no way I was going to change my plans! 1) Joel would have to drop me off and there's no way he was going to stay with a bunch of people that he doesn't like 2) we would have to pay with the money we had held back for our own plans. So I didn't show up. They change plans at the last minute all the time. I had a feeling they would do it because I know their pattern so well by now. Mom wanted to take me shopping after dinner for my birthday, but I just couldn't show up. I was too mad to call her and tell her I wasn't going to show up. I'm still mad at her. I'll be over it by the week's end, but ugh. How can you do that? That's so rude! Especially when I wanted to see them for my birthday and especially wanted to see my grandpa because he lives so far. My sister didn't even show up. She said that she thinks the whole thing was rude, just like I think. We're not even sure if we want to have Thanksgiving with them.
That was the drama. -.- You might understand more if you know my family's situation, but I don't feel like explaining it all. they really exclude my sister and I a lot and they act like they don't care about us.
I had a good birthday either way. I think it might've been really bad if I did see my family, even though they put me in tears anyway.
In response to my last entry, I agree that if they made a holiday for one Final Fantasy, they might as make that day for ALL of them. There's a ton of FFs beside the twelve games out there. There's the side games, like Crystal Chronicals and mini games like the Chocobo Pocket game from FF8. Oh well. I think it's crazy either way, as much as I love the series.
That's all.

I mainly just have a problem with being alone in front of people. -Sigh- I wish I could've skipped it, but it would've made a scene and that probably would've been worse. :/

no he's not that bad. He just wants to know if we had books on the old days. I thought it was funny because grandparents are always (well stereotypically) like, "we did this in the old days..." and whatnot. So a child in elementary school asking about books on the old days seemed humorous to me. Okay so it's not funny... but it was to me. I was running on like a strawberry shortcake.
