Ok, I personally don't like this too much and I'm going to make a new one soon. The color was SO hard to come up with! The pic really isn't a good choice for color, but I thought it was a pretty pic. xp I got it from
Stock.Xchng. Then, I shrunk it, cropped it and added the text. This definitely isn't my best layout. I guess this was just a test to see how I'd do with a NuTang layout.
By the way, I was wondering, how do you put your credits at the bottom so it'll say "Made by Kirei"? I've seen a couple of templates with that.

you say it's not great, i say it's brilliant! honestly, it's a really well made, beautiful layout =D about the 'made by' thing at the bottom, i think you just put "made by Kirei" after all your coding in the footer?
personally i'd just put it on the graphic, or in my case, i made a module for it ^^;

It's looks good! The pic is very relaxing, an evening on the beach...I wish I could do that in real life. Alas, beaches close in the city so your layout will do very well instead.
At least you know how to make layouts! Hmm, I really should take a look at one of those tutorials.

New templates are popping up everywhere these days...but that's a good thing! Good color choices...works very well with your banner pic there. I miss the background though :( Maybe having a pic background for your .entry_content CSS might spruce things up a little. Just a suggestion, of course.
In regards to the "made by me" mabbob....I discovered once that you could create a banner and stick it in the footer, thus making it pop up on the bottom of your page. I dunno. Maybe using a table? Haha I'm a CSS noob, don't take advice from me.

i just looked at your layout credits... wow you made it on MS paint??? is it even possible to get slanted text on MS paint??? or is my MS paint just horrendously inferior to yours? O_O;

I usually just put my credits in a table or div in the footer but you could also put it in the graphic, or in the alt or title of the header image, or even in the page title [at NuTang, an ordinary "title" tag works just fine]. There are so many ways you could it!
I like the layout! I like the nice blue/black/white combination. I'll have to make one with a similar color scheme . . .
I can see how it'd be hard to pick a blue from the image. lol
